Ammiocentesis and Karyotyping for the new baby
Dr Chau’s nurse called at 10.20 am this morning, she told me to go back for further discussion regarding to Dr Kung’s report. I have already known that I have failed the OSCAR test again this time, but not as bad as Cassie Khong. This time the risk for Trisomies 21, 18 and 13 were
Trisomy 21 – 1:280
Trisomy 18 – 1:2063
Trisomy 13 – 1:10076
Dr Kung didn’t want to give me any opinion this time cause Cassie was a strange case for him. He asked how many kids I would like to have, he didn’t want to see my again.
For Dr Chau, she said it is better to be safe than regret, so amniocentesis will be carried out on 26 April at 10am. The miscarriage rate will be 1 in 200 instead of 1 in 100. Just scare of the long needle, but I guess I would need to take it anyway.
The one who failed the test so badly has grown like this.
The two pretties in hospital.
The little one has grown so well, even her toes have grown bigger and older.
Should risk or should not risk? Cassie is a perfect case for failing the OSCAR so badly but perfectly healthy and naughty.
