Welcome to Patrick Anna Cassie Edward's blog
Cassie can read – 13 Jan 2010
We have bought her several packs of flash cards and alphabetic magnetic tiles. She can read 80 % of the flash cards; e.g. banana, egg, moon, door, orange, clock, apple, cake, teddy bear, present, starfish, frog, bug, teapot, grapes, cookie, bird, kite, stop, button, pizza, flamingo, jelly beans, leaves, triangle ... etc.
Some of the words she knows are with two or three syllabus. What a girl! Today I have started teaching her K, L, M, N and O, she can read A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, X and Z when I show her each of the individual tile. It is very important to play and read to her each day, I can see how much she has improved.
After her nap time, we went out to have a 40 min walk. During our walk, we tried to catch our SHADOW, and Cassie told me she has seen a big bird flying in the sky, it was an airplane instead. I told her, ‘ the airplane is flying in the sky’, she was able to repeat the sentence after me. We have seen a few BUILDINGS and went across a few FENCES too. It was fun to have a walk with her in the afternoon when the sun is out.
Photos were taken on Sunday when we had a walk together as a family.
